Introduction
API is an environment enabling our customers able to trade and/or perform analysis by their own applications.
It further extends the flexibility from our rich trading channels available for both retail and institution market.
There are 3 segments of features in this Application Programming Interface (i.e. API).
1. Information Distribution by streaming.
This includes the market data, and fundamental information.
Depending on the user accessibility level, user may get daily closing information of the securities, intra-day securities detail.
Such accessibility level is depending on the type of users’ account, company promotion, bonus schema. Please refer to the Appendix – Information Accessibility for more detail.
Real-time streaming also covers the status update of active orders placed in the markets.
2. Trading related activities.
Users can use the API to query the basic information of their holding of assets and cash, purchasing power, and any other information related to their trading. Trading can be done by calling functions in API.
The trading API is intended to automate the trading activities in high performance manner. We excluded those non-trading related functions. Thus, most of administrative functions are not in the scope. Users shall use the general channels such as On-line Trading channel, or over the counter channel for their account administration.
3. Customer management activities.
This is applicable only for Institution Client participating in the FlexiBus direct Customer Trading Model.
FlexiBus is a trading model allows customers belonging to the oversea institution client direct trading on white-label SSI trading channel showing the logo and trademark of the institution client. Customer Management Model allows institution client to manage their customers by their own platform. Alternatively, Institution Client can use the Customer Management Web Portal in FlexiBus to perform the management
